In the Appraisal Process, the initial discussion between the client and appraiser will determine the purpose or assigned use of the appraisal. Appraisals may be created for Insurance, Charitable Donations, Estate Distribution, Divorce Settlement, Liquidation and other purposes. A contract including the assigned use, scope of work, fees and estimate of completion will follow.
In the Appraisal Report, an appropriate description of the property, including all relevant characteristics will be developed. The method in which data was gathered as well as the analysis of that data will be included. The appraiser’s findings and conclusions of value will complete the report.
A formal appraisal can save time and money in establishing value for important property. Theft and natural disasters can affect the ability to obtain an accurate value. The challenges of death and divorce can also affect perspective and shared information by the client.
Appraise and protect the property you value.
